Types of Dentures
Dentures are removable teeth to help replace missing teeth and the surrounding tissue. There are two types of dentures: full and partial.
Partial dentures are used when there are natural teeth still remaining, and are most common replacement option to fill gaps as a result of missing teeth. Full dentures are used when all the natural teeth are missing.
Dentures can be made from either acrylic or acrylic with a chrome cobalt-based metal. The chrome cobalt-based partial dentures are a superior to acrylic partial dentures due to additional strength from the metal support and accurate fit providing longevity of comfort and function.
How to care for your denture
Just like natural teeth it is recommended you clean your dentures after every meal or at least two times a day.
To clean: remove the dentures, soak and scrub with a soft-bristled brush and a non-abrasive denture cleaner to remove any food, plaque and other deposits.
